Son of Ann Pate and John D Howell

John D. Howell, 56 year-old Wilmington automobile dealer, died suddenly of a heart attack at his home, 114 Keaton Avenue, last night about 10:30 o'clock.
He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. J. G. McKeithan; three sons, Floyd H. and Marvin R., of Wilmington and Briley W. Howell of Clinton; two brothers, P. D. Howell and Lester Howell, both of Goldsboro; and two sisters, Mrs. Manthia Tilton and Mrs. Sally Gynn, both of Goldsboro.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday morning at eleven o'clock from the Chapel of Yopp Funeral Home by the Rev. Edgar B. Fisher. Interment will be in Oakdale Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be R. B. Bell, Dan Earp, Andrew Johnson, R. S. McKeithan, W. B. Long, C. C. Fulp, Royce McCelland, and John M. Snow. Honorary pallbearers will be N. L. Foy, J. S. Jones, Dr. H. M. Pickard, Dr. H. A. Codington, E. W. Carr, H. W. Barnes, Otto Schmidt, and members of the Board of Stewards of Trinity Methodist Church.
