Funeral services for P.D. Howell, 79, of Rt. 2 Goldsboro, will be held at 3PM Thursday at the Patetown Church of God, where he was a member. The church pastor, the Rev. Carl Winstead and the Rev. Neil A. Cagle, will officiate. Burial will be in the Howell Family Cemetery near the home. He died this morning in Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Surviving are six sons, Dewitt, Claude, Edgar, Cletus and Zeke Howell all of Anderson and Alton Howell of Rt. 2 Pikeville; three daughters, Mrs. L. H. Anderson, Mrs. George Busdicker, and Mrs. Earl Smith, all of Rt. 2 Goldsboro; 39 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
Pallbears will be Edward, Glenn, Bobby, Cletus D., and Adrion Howell and Linwood Earl Smith.
