"Wed At otterville
Mr. Samuel Henderson and Miss Elizabth Wear, a popular young couple of Otterville, were married there Wednesday."
On April 27/28, 1910,
Samuel E. & Bettie Henderson, ages 33 & 30, were buying a farm in Richland Township, Morgan Co, MO, where he farmed to support them. They had been married 7 years; Bettie had given birth to four children: Ella M., age 5; Hattie B., 4; Paul E., 2; & Ruth E., 9 months.
Samuel's father, widowed, age 69, lived with them. Ernest Seifert, age 17, a hired hand, lived with them.
William was in N.M. when he died on Feb. 1, 1914.
On Jan. 6, 1920,
Bettie, age 39, a widow, lived on the farm they they were buying in Richland Township. Her children were Ella May, age 15; Hattie B., 14; Paul E., 12; Ruth E., 10; George W., 7; & Robert E., 5. Her father-in-law, William H. Henderson, age 79, widowed was living with them. Bettie's aunt, Ellen Bartlett, age 72, was another member of the family.

"Bettie Henderson (Sedalia)
Mrs. Bettie Henderson, 37 East Ninth, died at 6 a.m. Monday at her home. Born at Otterville May 3, 1880, she was the daughter of the late George and Harriet Bartlett Wear. She was married to Samuel E. Henderson April 5, 1902. He died in 1914.
She moved from Otterville to Sedalia in December 1945, and shortly afterward united with Broadway Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Leslie Trout, Ottawa, Kans., Mrs. Warren Bond, Warrensburg, and Miss Hattie B. Henderson of the home; three sons, Paul Henderson, 422 East Walnut, George Henderson, 2324 West Fifth, and Robert Henderson, Mercer, Mo.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Woodson, Thornton, and Gus Wear, all of Otterville.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Gillespie Funeral Home, with the the Rev. Garner F. Odell officiating. Mrs. C. C. deLozier will play organ selections. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery at Otterville."
