Lavina Fister was the 1st wife of Rev. Isaac Fister. She died March 30, 1853. Sophia Fister was his 2nd wife. She died December 15, 1861. Julia Ann (Mackey) _______ Fister was his 3rd wife. She died May 6, 1883. He was a minister in the Onondaga Conference of the Methodist Protestant Church.

The Adams Basin Methodist Protestant Church was organized in 1828 by Rev. Isaac Fister. He came here ill with smallpox and was treated by Dr. Webster in a makeshift hospital by the Canal. When he recovered Rev. Fister paid the doctor by preaching in the church withour pay.
