OBITUARY: 1 October 1886 - The Nugget, page 6, Chehalis, Washington Territory.
Mrs. Charles T. Fay, eldest daughter of O. H. Joy, died at her home near Fayette at one o'clock Sunday morning. She is a native of California, and at the time of her death was twenty-one years old. She married Charles T. Fay on the 15th of November last, and this union was blessed with only a little over ten months of happy wedded life. The remains of Mrs. Fay were laid in the cemetery at Claquato yesterday (Monday), and a large concourse of people were at the obsequies. To the friends of the deceased condolence seems but a hollow mockery, and words are in vain, therefore to the public we say, this excellent, well-known lady will be missed from our circles as few others would.
