The Himes Cemetery is located in Section 7 of Goshen Twp. It was begun on land owned by Joshua Geer. Later Charles Himes purchased the quarter section it is located on and it became known as the Himes Cemetery. The first burial was that of Esther Geer on Oct. 4, 1847, age 51 yrs. 6 mos. old.

The headstone is now broken in several pieces due to a larger stone falling upon it.
