Leslie Woodward, Local Man, Dies of Typhoid in Texas
Leslie Woodward, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dempsey Woodward of South Grant street, died Friday in Texas, according to a telegraphic message received by the family. A former message telling of his serious illness from typhoid fever was received a few days ago and a brother, Eastman Woodward, left for the sick man's bedside. He is scheduled to reach his destination on Sunday.
Leslie Dempsey was 28 years old, single, and had been in Texas about two and half years. He lived at the family home in Chester township before he went to Texas and before the family moved to this city. Mrs. Horace Cotterman is a sister of the deceased.
It is expected the body will be sent to Wooster for interment.
