Samuel W. Woodward, 67, of RD 2, died Friday afternoon at Cleveland Clinic, where he had been 12 days.
Mr. Woodward was born Aug. 13, 1893 in Fayette Co., Pa., to Dempsey and Eliza Leighty Woodward. At the age of 9 he moved to Chester Twp. He had been employed by Wooster Brush Co., by Hercules Motors of Canton, during World Warr II, and for the past 15 years by Fyr Fiter Co. of Wooster.
Surviving are his wife, Ada; a daughter Mrs. Robert (Marjorie) Bennett and a son, Leslie, all of Wooster RD 2; two brothers, Guy of Washington, Pa., and Eastman of Charlevoi, Pa.; two sisters Mrs. Eliza Bentton of Miami, Fla., and Mrs. Phoebe Higambotham of Doylestown, PA.; and four grandchildren.
Two brothers and a sister died previously.
Services will be Monday at 3 p. m. at the McInitre Funeral Home with Rev. Lloyd Yoder of Wooster Methodist Church officiating.
Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p. m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Wooster Cemetery.
