Obituary for Dona Knight Gill, Mt. Sterling, Democrat, April 15, 1965.

Mrs. Dona Gill, 80, of Camp Point, widow of Walter Gill, died Sunday afternoon at 12:50 in Blessing hospital in Quincy where she had been a patient over two months.

Mrs. Gill was born in Brown County, December 24, 1884, a daughter of George and Mary Frances Knight.

She attended Poe school and was a member of the Point Christian Church and the Careful Gleaners Class.

She was first married to William Thomas Ferrell, February 8, 1903. He died October 1920, and she was married to Mr. Gill in September, 1924. He passed away in June 1934.

Surviving are three daughters: Fred (Dora) Moss and Mrs. Ethel Hendricks of Camp Point, and George (Hazel) Buss of Augusta; eight grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services will be held this Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Camp Point Christian Church, with Rev. John Dorney officiating. Burial will be in the South Side Cemetery in Clayton.
