Services for Mr. Clarence Earl Tilton, 83, of Route 8, Box 119H, Greenwood, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday October 21 at the Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Rev. Wayne Dubose, Pastor of the Summer Grove Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial with Masonic graveside rites will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Mt. Zion Cemetery near Montgomery, La., Rev. Merrel McCoy, of Summer Grove Baptist Church, officiating.

Visitation at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel will be from 11 a.m. Tuesday until 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

He died Sunday, October 18, 1981 at his residence following a short illness.

Mr. Tilton, born in St. Maurice, La. and a resident of Shreveport, La. 50 years, was retired. He was a member of the El Karubah Shrine, the Fair Park Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite. Mr. Tilton was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Morris, on August 27, 1981, and a son, C. C. Tilton.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nina Tilton; two daughters, Linda McCoy of Shreveport, La. and Dorothy Narron of Fort Worth, Tex.; two sisters, Susie Bass of Shreveport, La. and Effie Merchant of DeRidder, La.; four brothers, Odes Tilton of Shreveport, La., Charly Tilton of Winnfield, La., Marcus Tilton and Archie Tilton, both of Elizabeth, La.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Summer Grove Baptist Church Building Fund.
