Tove Nielsen Altepeter, 61, of Crookston, Minnesota, died Friday evening August 3, 2001 at Crookston. Tove was born on May 14, 1940 in Copenhagan, Denmark. On December 6, 1958, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Altepeter in Copenhagen. The couple made their home in the United States. Tove was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary, a life member of the Polk County Humane Society, of which she was secretary for many years, and a member of the Eagles Auxiliary. She was secretary of the Midwest Horse Show for many years and also secretary for area horse clubs. Tove had a love of bowling, animals and country life, but will be remembered mostly for her love of family. She was always there for family and friends whenever there was a need.

Loving family members include her husband, Ken; a daughter and son in law Vivian and Bill Thingelstad of Fargo, North Dakota; two grandchildren, Katie and Bryce; and many other relatives, aspecially Emmy and Kirsten. Tove was preceded in death by her father and two brothers.

A memorial service will be held for Tove on Saturday August 11, 2001 at 9:30 at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception in Crookston, Minnesota with Rev. David Super presidind. Interment will be held at Oakdale Cemetery in Crookston, Minnesota.
