Sam Kemp, of Fort Ethan Allen, Vermont, was in English first of the week. He was called to Marengo a few days ago to attend the funeral of his father, George Kemp, and came over to English to visit relatives a few days.

Mrs. J. W. Patton was at Marengo Saturday, to attend the funeral of her uncle, George Kemp.
This is my GG_Grandfather Miles Kemp brother. George was in the Ind. 49th during the Cival War. Crawford County Democrat August, 8, 1895
The 49th Indiana Regiment will camp on the old grounds near Jefferson. Ever member from Crawford County will be present.
He was married to Helena M. Bird 11 Sep 1870 in Crawford Co., Indiana. They had two children. Samuel L. Kemp B. 1874, and Minnie Kemp B. 1879 in Marengo, Crawford Co., Indiana
