Donald Alvey, 58 of Leitchfield, passed away October 5,1999 at his home. Born April 9, 1943 in IN, he was the son of the late Claude Alvey and Lois Alvey who survives.
He was a member of the St Benedict Catholic Church.
Survivors other than his mother of Elizabethtown include two brothers, Kenneth Alvey of Clarkson and Richard Alvey of Leitchfield; four sisters, Audrey Long of Needham, IN, Rose Swazay of Waldron, IN, Geraline Merrick of Shelbyville, IN and Maryln Pierce of Shelbyville, IN, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Alvey and one brother, Jr. Thomas Alvey.
Funeral services were held October 7, 1999 at St Benedict Catholic Church with Rev Gary Hayes officiating.
Burial followed in St Benedict Cemetery under the direction of Rogers Funeral Home in Clarkson.
