William is the son of Samuel and Rhoda (Grubbs) Busick, who were married in Western Virginia in 1806 and later migrated from Virginia to, first Licking Co., then Madison Co., OH (before 1840). They brought with them six sons; in addition to William: Richard A. (married Deborah Ogden and settled in Monroe Twp., Pickaway Co., OH), James, Edward H. (who settled in Range Twp., Madison Co., OH, was married to Amanda Ladley, and is buried at Bethel Church Cemetery in Madison Co.), Joseph Franklin (who resided in Madison Co.), and Elijah Winfield (who lived most of his adult life in Range Twp., except for brief stays in Fayette Co. and Pleasant Twp., Madison Co. He was married to Rachel Reece). William died at the age of 79 years; c/d cancer.
