GEORGETOWN -- Lillie Ackerman, 71, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 1998, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.

She was born Jan. 24, 1926, in Williamsburg County, a daughter of the late Alexander Michau and Vernie Johnson Michau. She was the widow of Jessie Ackerman.

She was employed by International Paper Co. early in her career and later operated several businesses with her husband. She was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith and was a homemaker.

Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Poston and Neta Woodruff, both of Georgetown ; a son, Roger Dale Ackerman of Georgetown ; a sister, Estelle Hartley of Georgetown ; four brothers, Herman Michau and Thurman Michau, both of Georgetown , and Willie Michau and James Michau, both of Chester; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today at Georgetown Church of God. Burial will follow in Elmwood Annex. Graham Funeral Home is in charge.
