Mrs. Delcie Poole Cole, 81 of 930 Ash Avenue, South Boston died Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at Halifax Regional Hospital. She was married to the late Thomas Franklin Cole, Jr. and was a member of McCanless Memorial United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Cole is survived by a sister, Ruth P. Ragans of South Boston and one brother, John W. Poole of Cluster Springs, many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Mrs. Cole will be held Friday, August 7 at 11 a.m. at Ash Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. John Eure officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge cemetery. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home on Thursday from 7 until 8:30 p.m. and at other times at the home of her sister, Ruth Ragans, 3022 Old Cluster Springs Road, South Boston.
