Genoa, dies Sunday
Lee A. Smith, 62, Genoa farmer,
died Sunday at St. Mary
hospital.
Funeral services will be held
at 11 a. m. Tuesday at Methodist
church in Genoa, with the
Rev. Earl Gunsolley of Columbus
officiating.
Active pallbearers will be Allen
Atkins, Donald Wild, Bud
Taylor, Darrell Nelson, Richard
Lindauer and Harold Nielson.
Honorary pallbearers are Carl
Curtis, Henry Lindauer, Joe
Hjork, Elmer Nelson, Charley
Micek, Vic Salestrom and Henry
Brunken.
Lee Arnold Raymond Smith,
son of Joseph and Roxanna Mae
Koote Smith, was born Aug. 1,
1901, on a farm near Boone.
He was married to Laura
Alice Price Feb. 19, 1925, at
Council Bluffs, la. To this union
were born two sons, Har-
'lan of Torrington, Wyo., and
Marlon of Sylmar, Calif., and
one daughter, Mrs. Everett (Jo
Ann) Brunken of Columbus.
Surviving, in addition to his
wife and children, are 11 grandchildren
and one brother, Lyman,
of Genoa. He was preceded
in death by his parents and
one grandson.
