Margaret Albrecht, 84, Brainerd, passed away Monday, Jan. 16, 2006, at Bethany Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd surrounded by her family. Marge was born April 17, 1921, in Canton, Minn., to Charles and Lora (Masters) Young.

She married Frederick J. Albrecht in Canton on June 26, 1946. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Brainerd, serving as a Sunday school teacher, a deacon and session member. The church was a big part of her life having served in one capacity or another for all of her life. She was a dietitian at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. She was a volunteer for Campfire Girls for 30 years, also volunteering at St. Joseph's Medical Center and Bethany Good Samaritan Village. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren's activities.

She is survived by her children, Robert (Marcia) Albrecht, of Crosby, Linda (Doug) Hamilton, Pillager, Coralee (Vern) Cronin, of Sauk Rapids, and Chuck (Debra) Albrecht, of Merrifield; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two nephews; and one niece.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband,
Frederick; and two brothers, Robert and Charles.

Services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Brainerd on Friday, Jan. 20, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Harold Tongen officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home in Brainerd and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Memorials are preferred to First Presbyterian Church.

Arrangements are with the Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home in Brainerd.
