Esther C. Shaver, 74, of Lemoyne, died Sunday at her home.
She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lemoyne, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Many years later, she completed her life long dream of graduating from nursing school.
She is survived by three daughters, Julia and Elinor Zabriskie and Doris and her husband, Basilio Arena; one son, Jack Zabriskie; one brother, Carl and his wife, Bonita Shaver; and one sister, Audrey Hawks; 12 grandchildren, Santiago Ramos III, Michael and Matthew Ramos, Stephanie Zabriskie, Wesley Zabriskie II, and Jack Zabriskie, Jr., and, Michael, Taneisha and Natasha Zabriskie, Joseph, Christopher, and Anthony Arena.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 21, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 509 Hummel Avenue, Lemoyne. Burial with military honors will be at Willow Grove Cemetery, Linglestown. A viewing will be held in the church library on Friday from 10 a.m. until service time.
