Albert Taylor, age 90, a resident of Arjay, Kentucky passed away Sunday, September 6, 1992, at the Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital in Middlesboro, Bell County, KY.

He was born June 29, 1902 in Lerose, Kentucky to the Late William K. Taylor and Laura Gambrel. He was a member of the White Mountain Pentecostal Church and was a president of the local union of UMWA. His parents, his daughter, Goldie (Taylor) King, a sister, Ida (Taylor) Vaughn, and four brothers, Isaac "Ike" Taylor, Thomas Taylor, Edison Taylor and Floyd Taylor, predeceased him.

His wife, Carrie (Howell) Taylor, Arjay, KY, three daughters, Lola (Taylor) Lawson, Dayton, Ohio, Betty Jo (Taylor) Bishop, Arjay, KY, Beulah Faye (Taylor) Phillips, Bowling Green, KY, one sister, Cordia (Taylor) Carpenter, Cawood, KY, Nine grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and nine great, great grandchildren survived him.

Services for Albert Taylor were held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 9, 1992, at the Durham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. George Neal and Rev. Gary Wagner officiating. Burial followed in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, also known as Green Hills Memorial Gardens at Middlesboro, Bell County, KY. Pallbearers were friends of the family. Durham Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

His father, William K. Taylor (born December 19, 1875, Bell County, KY, died November 17, 1956, Blanche, Bell County, KY, was the son of Joshua Taylor and Mary Ellen (Smith) Taylor. His paternal great grandparents were Nelson Taylor and Nancy Isabelle "Ouncebell" (Rice) Taylor. His paternal great, great grandparents were Cornelius Alexander Taylor and Sarah "Sally" Ann (Walker) Taylor

His mother, Laura (Gambrel) Taylor (born November 26, 1880, Knox County, KY, died December 12, 1960, Pineville, Bell County KY), also had another marriage to William Warren.

His maternal grandmother was Drucilla Gambrel, daughter of William Gambrel and Emily (Smith) Gambrel of Knox County, KY.
