BEACON FALLS - Joan Eileen (Barber) Morgan, 79, of 74 Dorchester Court, died Monday, July 24, at Waterbury Hospital. She was the widow of John Morgan.

Mrs. Morgan was born March 26, 1927, in Brooklyn, N.Y., daughter of the late John O. and Marie B. (McAtee) Barber. She was a resident of Beacon Falls for the past 10 years, moving here from Northport, L.I. She worked at the Cardion Corp. in Woodbury, N.Y., retiring in 1993 after 22 years of service. She was a past member of the board of directors and a former treasurer of the Beacon Hill Condo Association. She was also a member of the American Association of Retired Persons, and her hobbies included reading and gardening.

She leaves a daughter, Lori Soss of Thomaston; a brother, James Barber of Oakland, Calif.; and two grandchildren. A brother, John O. Barber, and a sister, Jean Roemer, are deceased.

Arrangements: Funeral 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours from 5 p.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
