He was born May 23, 1937 in Long Island, NY, son of John and Marie (McAtee) Barber, Sr.
Survivors include two daughters, Katherine (Cory) Welch and Caroline Barber all of Oakland, CA, one granddaughter, Charlotte.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, John Barber, Jr and two sisters, Jean Roemer and Joan Morgan.
Services will be private for the family.
