Nemaha - Funeral services for Wilbur Arthur Parks, 37, Nemaha farmer who was fatally injured Wednesday in a tractor accident, were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, at the Methodist Church here. The Rev. P. Julian Daba officiated; and interment was in the Nemaha Cemetery, under direction of the Farber and Otteman Funeral Home. Donald Toomer was vocal soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Toomer. Pallbearers were Glen Reeves, Darrell Dempster, Keith Hines, Gerald Hines, Marvin Mooney and Kenneth Hamm.

Mr. Parks was killed when the tractor he was driving went into a ditch off a county road north of Nemaha, rolled over on him and crushed him. He is survived by his wife Kathryn, five children, Kathryn, Gloria, Beth, Steven [sic, all stepchildren] and Keith [his son by Kathryn]; his mother, Mrs. Bessie Parks; two brothers and four [sic, three] sisters.

ARNOLDS PARK - Wilbur A. Parks, 37, of Nemaha. son of Mrs. Bessie Parks of Arnolds Park, was killed in a tractor accident near Nemaha Wednesday, November 21. Funeral services were held in the Methodist Church at Nemaha Friday, November 23. Mr. Parks, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Parks, was born in Union township, April 1, 1925. He attended Union township consolidated school and graduated in 1942. He married Kathryn Hicks Isaacs of Nemaha, March 22, 1958, and had been farming a quarter mile north of Nemaha the past three and one half years. Besides his wife and mother he is survived by a son, Keith, three years old; four step children, Kathy. 17, Steven, 15, Gloria, 13, and Beth, 10; two brothers, Ronald Parks of Buckeye, Arizona, Lowell Parks of Remsen; three sisters, Mrs. Aurel Collett of St. Louis, Missouri, Mrs. Pauline Dempster of Le Mars and Mrs. Charlotte Lyons of Boone and 17 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father in August, 1944, and by an infant sister.
