Illness Fatal To
Mrs. Burdine Ramsey


After a year's illness Mrs. Mildred Ramsey, 36, wife of Burdine Ramsey, passed away at the family home in this city at 5:50 a.m. Jan. 1, 1951.

Services were held at the Presbyterian church at 2 p.m. Tuesday, the pastor Rev. A.E. Wardner officiating. Burial was in Green Hill cemetery under direction of Bahner funeral home.

Pall bearers were: Buster Smith, A. P. Bolton, Bill Williams, Boo Broaddrick, James Dale and Fred Dale.

Mrs. Ramsey had resided in Davis the past eight years. For awhile she operated the Estes Tavern and later employed in the telephone office. She was born at Haworth, Okla., Feb. 4, 1913, and was married to Burdine Ramsey June 14, 1942.

Besides her husband she is survived by a son, Sgt. Carl Bedwell of Sheppard Field, Texas; her stepfather and mother, Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Crow of Idabel, Okla.; two brothers, Austin Blackwood of Chicago and Bill Blackwood of Oklahoma City; one sister, Mrs. Imogene Smith of Little Rock, Ark.; a stepbrother Elmo Crow and foster brother Bill Crow both of Idabel.

Mrs. Ramsey was an active member of the Presbyterian church, the Missionary Society and the Legion Auxiliary.

Out-of-town relatives attending the funeral were:

Carl Bedwell of Sheppard Field, Texas.
