BIOGRAPHY
Pauline Henretta Turner, 87, Granby, died Tuesday, September 22, 2009, at an area nursing home, following a short illness. She was born April 19, 1922, to Clarence and Anna (Miller) Shewmake.
Mrs. Turner was a lifelong area resident. She had worked at Camp Crowder in the PX, and in the Service Center at McClintock's IGA for over 30 years.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, J. C. and Beverly Turner, Granby, and Jerry and Jean Turner, Polo, MO; four grandchildren, Rick Turner and wife, Barri, Brad Turner, Tim Turner and Jennifer Marchand and husband, John; three step grandchildren, Gayle, Tina and Lori; twelve great-grandchildren; six great great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Lee Studerus, Tulsa, OK.
She was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Friday at Clark Funeral Home Chapel, Granby, with Rev. Fred Franks officiating, assisted by David Rosinski. Burial will follow in Granby Memorial Cemetery, and serving as pallbearers will be Rick Turner, Brad Turner, Tim Turner, Chad Shewmake, Frank Shewmake and Scott Studerus. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Spears, Corley Baker, David Turner and Larry Edwards.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 9 am - 7 pm, with the family receiving friends from 6 - 7 pm.
