Hebron Journal Register 3-12-1958:
Mrs. Charles Albrecht, Sr.., 73, a resident of the Bruning community for more than 50 years, died at her home near Bruning.
Funeral services will be held at the Bruning Methodist Church with burial in Bruning.
Survivors are Mrs. Albrecht's husband, a son, Charles, Jr., daughter, Mrs. F. E. Jacobson, Manhattan, Kan. A daughter and son preceded her in death.
Also surviving are three sisters, two brothers and one grandchild.

Mrs. Charles Albrecht, 72, of Bruning, passed away suddenly at her home on March 10th. She was Emma Franzen before her marriage and was born on May 28, 1885, at Carthage, Ill. She came to Nebraska in 1905 with her father, brothers and sisters, her mother having passed away several years before.
In 1907, she was married to Charles Albrecht and four children were born to this union: Opal, Dickie, Bethene and Charles, Jr. Dickie died in infancy and Opal passed away in May, 1953.
Survivors are her husband; son, Charles, Jr.; daughter, Bethene of Manhattan, Kans.; a grandson, Wm. J. Baden of Lincoln and many other relatives.
Funeral services were at the Bruning Methodist Church and burial was in the Bruning Public Cemetery.
