Wesley Rogers, 78, of Caruthersville, died July 27, 1994 at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital. Born Feb. 10, 1916 in Dyer County, Tenn., he was the son of Montie and Bessie Hicks Rogers. He attended school through seventh grade in Dyer County. He was a retired farmer and was also employed at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital. He was a Baptist. He was a 15-year member of the Caruthersville Police Auxiliary.
He is survived by a son, Bob Rogers of Gosnell, Ark.; A daughter, Dorothy Mann of Caruthersville; A brother, Preston Rogers of Caruthersville; Four sisters, Emma Newton of Caruthersville, Oarleen Parks of Piggott, Ark., Francis Green of Rector, Ark., and Rachel Barner of Lafe, Ark.; Five grandsons, Joey, Jeff and Greg Rogers and Byron and Mike Mann; Two granddaughters, Cindy Wigginton and Arlinda Adkerson; Five great-grandsons and four great-granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Esther Louise Vaughn Rogers; a sister, Earleen Spence; and a brother, K.W. Rogers.
Services were July 30 at 2 p.m. at Kinfolks Ridge Baptist Church, John Henry Hicks and Preston Baker officiating, with burial in Little Prairie Cemetery, H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville in charge.
