Velma A Craven Potter Hill Dickinson Gourley Velma was the wife of Lovern Potter, married 1923, divorced 1935. Mother of Bill Craven Potter Hill. Secondly and thirdly, wife of Harley Hill (per son's SS application) and a Mr (Ivan?) Dickinson Fourthly, she became the second wife of Harley L Gourley and mother of Harley G Gourley. Velma Gourley's obituary: (transcribed from an unknown newspaper) Mrs. Harley Gourley, 76, of 1424 N. E. Capital Ave., died Wednesday in Lakeview Hospital. She had been ill six months. She was born in Schoolcraft County and later moved with her family to Fort Wayne, Ind. She moved to Union City in 1918 and to Battle Creek in 1960. She operated a rooming house for about ten years after moving to Battle Creek. Her husband, Harley Gourley, preceded her in death. She is survived by a son, Bill Hill of 775 Beadle Lake, a brother, George Craven of St Petersburg, Fla., and two grandchildren. Services will be held 10 am at Spencer Funeral Home, Athens
