Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Christian Church, Cowden, with burial in Mound Cemetery, Cowden. Visitation is from noon until time of service at Lockart & Sons Funeral Home, Cowden. Memorials may be given to First Christian Chruch, Cowden.
He was born Sept. 5, 1911, in Missouri, the son of Garfield and Lavina Lorton Tucker. He married Faye Brunk June 21, 1930, and she died June 18, 1971. He married Annabell Keller on March 9, 1974, and she survives.
Also surviving are a son, Floyd and wife Peggy of Cowden daughter-in-law, Peggy Lou Tucker of Cowden; stepsons Raymond Keller of Urbana, Robert Keller of Statesville, N.C. and Douglas Keller of Boeblingen, Germany; stepdaughter, Diana Nogle of Champaign; sister, Bertha Blankenship and Mary Beck, both of Cowden; grandchildren, Cheryl Young, Jack Tucker and Randy Tucker, all of Cowden, Judith Pruitt of Mattoon and Robert Tucker of Effingham; nine stepgrandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and 13 step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Mervin Tucker; a granddaughter, Cindy Anderson; three brothers, two half brothers; and two sisters.
Mr. Tucker had farmed and work for Dry Point Township. He was a member of First Christian Church, Cowden. His hobbies were pitching horseshoes and hunting.
