Janice Sells, 87, of Denton passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 in Denton after losing her battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born on December 8, 1921 in Garland, TX to John Gordon Raney and Dollie Irene Williams Cruze. Janice was a graduate of Denton High School. She later attended North Texas State University and worked for 26 years at the Denton State School where she retired.
She married Clayton Sells on March 5, 1943 in Marrietta, OK. who preceded her in death after 46 years of marriage in 1989. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Denton.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 18, 2009 from 6-7:30pm at the Denton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 10am at the Denton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
