Katherine Hay Margrave, age 84, of Franklin, Tennessee, died February 25, 2005, after a long illness with Parkinson's Disease.


Mrs. Margrave was born in Eagleville, Tennessee, valedictorian of her high school class, a graduate of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and taught school for several years. She was a member of Woodbine Cumberland Presbyterian Church.


She was preceeded in death by her parents, David Marion Hay, Sr. and Sudie Vaughan Hay.


She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Harry E. Margrave, former owner of Star Discount Stores; daughter and son-in-law, two sons and daughers-in-law, ten grandchildren, and brother and sister-in-law.


The family wishes to convey special thanks to the Staff of NHC Place at Cool Springs, Odyssey Health Care and her caregiver, Teri, for their love, care, and concern during her illness.
