Jewel Smith of Wynnewood, Oklahoma was born to John Arthur II and Hattie (West) Jackson on February 4, 1922 between Comanche and Loco in Stephens County, Ok and passed from this life on September 13, 2009 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma at the age of 88 years. Jewel grew up and attended school in Sulphur, Oklahoma. In July of 1937, Jewel married Clarence Howard "Smitty" Smith and together they made their home in Sulphur, Oklahoma, California and Oregon before moving to Wynnewood in 1965. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. In her spare time she enjoyed reading the Bible, sewing, growing roses and gardening.

Mrs. Smith is survived by: 3 sons: Don Smith of Wynnewood, Oklahoma, Jack Smith and his wife Wilma of Kingston, Oklahoma, Leon Smith and his wife Jocil of Kingston, Oklahoma 1 daughter: Juanita McDonald and her husband Les of Clovis, New Mexico 3 brothers: Roy Jackson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Billy Jackson and his wife Rose of Gabbs, Nevada George Capps of Emmit, Idaho 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by: Her Husband Clarence H. Smith, Her parents, Son J.C. Howard Smith and
2 brothers J. W. Jackson and Art Jackson
1 sister: Doshia Morris.
