(He lives in the Chemung View Apartments.) His obituary notice was in the Evening Times, Sayre, pa., dated November 20, 1993 as follows: Claude W. Billings, 89, of 205 Page Manor, Athens, died Thursday, November 18 at Bradford County Manor, Burlington, following an extended illness. Born February 20, 1904 in Sheshequin Township, the son of the late Wayne and Elvira Sackett Billings. He was employed in the stock-room of Ingersoll-Rand, Athens, until his retirement. Mr. Billings was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Waverly, N.Y. He is survived by his wife Hazel, at home; three daughters, Mrs. Harold (Charlotte) Young of Camp Hill, Pa., Mrs. Herman (Theresa) Carringer of Phelps, N.Y., and Mrs. Wendell (Enid) Lahr of Highwood, Md.; a sister, the Rev. Edna West of Sunbury, Pa.; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Saturday from 7-9 p.m. at the Allgeier & Blauvelt Funeral Home, 126 N. Elmer Ave., Sayre. Funeral and committal services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ronald Golden, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene and the Rev. Wendell Lahr officiating. Burial will be in the Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, Pa.
