Funeral for James Blythe, 73, Courtland, who died Monday in a Courtland hospital, will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Courtland Cemetery, with Rev. Ernest Dillard officiating, Brown Service Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Ann Blythe, Courtland; a daughter, Mrs. Gilbert J. Key Jr, Birmingham; a son, James Blythe Jr, Courtland; three brothers, Eugene Blythe, Augusta Blythe, both of Leighton, John Eldredge Blythe, Decatur; five grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be James A. Gilchrist Jr, Sykes Martin, Bert Pippen, Hood Harris, Daniel Gilchrist IV, D.L. Martin Jr, Jerry Holland and Cary Hotchkiss.

Honarary pallbearers will be nephews.

Mr. Blythe was a farmer, Cotton Buyer and was on the board of the Citizen's Bank of Courtland. He was an elder of Courtland Presbyterian Church.

The family requests that any memorials be made in the form of contributions to favorite charities.

He was given a middle name of Ricketts from great grandfather, Ricketts Blythe, and was called this by his father when very young. When he started to school he lost this name forever.
