∼From the president of the Cherokee County Kansas Genealogical-Historical Society:
"George Bevard died in Scammon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. S. R. Dobbins. According to the short death notice in the SCAMMON MINER his body was "taken to Hallowell for burial." So I would assume he is buried next to his first wife in McKee cemetery. He remarried in 1885 to Edith Alexander, but she was not mentioned in his obit, and I didn't find an obit for her."
