Charles Armstrong Services Were Held Sunday

Services for Charles Armstrong of Hastings were held Sunday in the Brand Funeral Home, Hastings, with the Rev. Earle Barclay of the First Christian church (sic) of Hastings, officiating. Mrs. Marshall Krieger sang with Miss Joan Johnson at the organ. Pallbearers were Homer Davey, John Roth, Elvin Franklin, Joseph Schmidbauer, Warren Fette and Benton Miller.

Mr. Armstrong died Friday at the Mary Lanning hospital (sic) at the age of 81 years. He had been in frail health. A native of Blue Hill, born March 6, 1878, he had lived all his life in Webster and Adams counties. He became a resident of Hastings 50 years ago where he worked as a machinist.

Survivors are his wife May; sons, Floyd of Midway City, Calif., Harold of Lincoln and Charles Jr., of San Francisco; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren and his brother and sisters, Ted Armstrong of Blue Hill, Mrs. Mabel Olson, Mrs. O. J. Dykeman and Miss Grace Armstrong of Hastings and Mrs. Ida Fischel of Monita, Calif.
