CECIL AUXIER

Cecil Auxier, a long-time sales representative for Meade and
Company on Paintsville, died in a local hospital Sunday, September
22, 1974, at the age of 68.

A native of Johnson County, he was born Monday, January 15, 1906,
the son of the late George Auxier and Mrs. Lula Salyers Auxier, who
survives.

He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Kathleene
Stapleton Auxier; three sons, Paul, David and George, all of
Paintsville; two daughters, Ollie K. Rice and Ann Conley, both of
Paintsville; three brothers, George G. Auxier, Jr., and Carson
Auxier of Red Bush; five sisters, Alka Stapleton of Volga, Iva Joy
Meade of Louisa, Ruth Hayes of Dayton, Irene Britton of Louisa and
Pauline Auxier of Winn and ten grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Auxier were held at 11: a.m. this
morning, Wednesday, September 25, 1974, in the Pigeon Freewill
Baptist Church at Oil Springs with Reverends Charles Stapleton and
James Kelly Caudill officiating.

Burial was in the Stapleton Trimble Cemetery at Manilla with
arrangements under the direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
