Harland I. Jackson ~1925-1985

1. Obituary: Harland I. Jackson of RD 2, Lewes, died Saturday, March 2, 1985 in Beebe Hospital, Lewes, of cancer. He was 60.

Mr. Jackson was self-employed for many years as a landscaper, until he retired due to ill health. An Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, he was also a member of Christ's Church, near Harbeson.

He is survived by his wife, the former Clara B. Wright; a son, Jerry Lee of Rehoboth Beach; four daughters, Donnie E. Norwood of Millsboro, and Evelyn Jackson Stokes, Darlene L. Jackson and Bonnie Y. Jackson, all living at home; and five grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Christ's Church; Sussex routes 285 and 48, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Burial will be in Israel Church Cemetery, near Lewes.
