"Sarah M. Elder , Age 93, Expires
Mrs. Sarah M. Elder, 93, died at her home, 215 North Spencer at 5 p.m. Monday after a five year period of failing health.
She was born in Rush County on May 30, 1863, the daughter of James and Mary J. Mavity Warfield. Her husband, John Oliver Elder, died in 1913.
A Rushville resident most of her life, Mrs. Elder was a member of the First Baptist Church here.
Survivors include a son, Virgil Elder of Rushville; three daughters, Mrs. Otis Rankin, Mrs. Elza Hall and Mrs. Floyd Cross, all of Rushville; a sister, Mrs. John Kuntz near Manilla, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The Rev. E. L. Bleiler will conduct services at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Moster and Sons Mortuary where friends may call at any time.
Burial will be in Goddard Cemetery near Homer."
