Mr. Julius Darden Tuten, age 76 of Blackshear, died Thursday afternoon at his residence following an extended illness

He was a native and lifelong resident of Pierce County and was preceded in death by his parents the late James Holliday Tuten and the late Ernie Peacock Tuten,
a grandson Austin Johnson, 2 sisters Leona Bennett and Mary Kate Douglas, and 6 Brothers Horace, Eugene, Arthur, Leroy, Donald, and Eldridge Tuten.

Mr. Tuten was a retired maintance worker for Scapa Dryer. He was of the Baptist Faith and an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Johnson Tuten of Blackshear,

Walker Keller of Alma, Ashton and Gabie Johnson of Blackshear, Garrett, Weston, and Brayden Cason of Blackshear, and Maddie Johnson of Jesup,
and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2 pm Sunday in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 to 8pm at the Smith funeral home in Blackshear.

Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Waycross.
