She was born May 13, 1878(1879), in Cape Girardeau, Mo., the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin F. Speak, pioneer citizens of that city.
Mrs. Bragg lived in Caruthersville for 30 years, moving here to accept a position as sales lady in the ready-to-wear department of The Styleright Shop of Hyman Caldwell, one of the leading shops in this area.
She was married to the late Atty. Charles Edgar Bragg of this city, in St. Louis, in 1928. Mr. Bragg died in 1932 and in 1940 Mrs. Bragg moved to Cape Girardeau where she had since made her home.
She ws a member of the St. Vincent's Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau, a member of the Altar Society and also of the Wednesday Club.
The body was taken to the Walther's Funeral Home in Cape, where the Rosary was cited Saturday night at 8 p.m. Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 Sunday afternoon at St. Vincent's Catholic Church, the Rev. Wenlin J. Dunker, pastor, officiating. The Funeral Mass was conducted Monday morning at 9:30 at St. Vincent's Church and the body brought to Caruthersville with burial in Little Prairie Cemetery.
Mrs. Bragg is survived by one brother, Benjamin F. Speak of Scott City, Mo., a niece, Mrs. Richard A. Behrens of Cape Girardeau. Three other nieces and three nephews also survive.
