Age 74, of Harborcreek, son of the late Daniel and Clara Davidson Frantz. He lived in the Erie area since 1964. He was a member, elder and Sunday school teacher at the Harborcreek branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He retired in 1986 from General Electric Co. after working there 24 years. He was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club, the GE Retired Employees Association, American Legion Carl Neff Post 571 and the Harborcreek AARP. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and enjoyed gardening and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vada Rowles Frantz; a great-granddaughter; and several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by four sons: Raymond "Butch" Frantz and his wife Kathleen, of Lawrence Park; Howard Frantz and his wife Sylvia, of Wesleyville; David Frantz and his wife Susan, of Harborcreek; and William Frantz of Harborcreek; two sisters: Sara Frantz of Cherry Tree and Edith Frantz of Scranton; a brother, Daniel Frantz of North Carolina; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
