Mrs. Clara Mae Frantz, 73, of Martin Street Extension, Clearfield R. D. 1, died at the Clearfield Hospital at 7:30 a.m. yesterday.
Born in Bell Township on April 17, 1896, she was the daughter of the late William and Edith Montgomery Davidson.
She was a member and past Noble Grand of the Rebecca Lodge and belonged to the Golden Age Club.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Ruth Fritz and Mrs. Ethel Foskett, both of Wadsworth, Ohio; Mrs. Edith Shylkofski of Scranton; and Mrs. Sara Fleming of Cherry Tree; four sons, Warren A. Pittsburgh; William E., Erie; Harry G., East Springfield, and Mrs Daniel Frantz, Fort Mead, Md.; a brother Paul Davidson, Canton, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Mabel Beatty, Pitcairn, 27 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel L. Frantz, in April 1948, by a daughter, Helen Lovelace, a brother, John, a sister, Bertha Schaefor, and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Fred B. Leavy Funeral Home in Clearfield, with George Burdge officiating. Interment will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park. Rebakah Memorial services will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Wednesday and until the hour of services Thursday.
