Delphine G. Basler, age 94, of Chilton, died on Tuesday, September 8, 2009, at the Chilton Care Center in Chilton. She was born December 25, 1914, in Kloten, daughter of the late Anton and Mary (Wettstein) Nadler. She married John G. Basler at St. Mary Catholic Church in Chilton in 1935. The couple farmed together in the Town of Chilton. Delphine was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Chilton.
Survivors include her children: Marlene (Dave) Hemauer, Appleton; Leroy (Sandy) Basler, Charlesburg; Dennis Basler, Chilton; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Basler, Chilton; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three sisters: Kathryn Joas, Rosalie Heiberger, Marie Friel; and two sisters-in-law: Elsie and Dorothy Nadler.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her son: John N. Basler.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2009, at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church (54 E. Main St.) in Chilton with the Rev. Bob Kollath officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton from 10:30 AM until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2009.
