Charles was born in Camptown which is in Wyalusing Twp. Sometime between 1860 and 1870 he moved his family to Iowa and then on to Nebraska after 1880. His profession was always listed as farmer. Not certain what prompted his move to Nebraska; however there were other Camp relatives living in Geneva, NE which was north of Superior, NE. Also, since his youngest son became a Dentist, he may have moved to NE for the medical college there.
