Veronica (Vera) T. Kicielinski, 93, died peacefully Monday, Aug. 31, 2009, at the Miller Memorial Community surrounded by her family.

Born in Meriden, July 3, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Frances (Swiatek) Kicielinski. A lifelong resident of Meriden, Veronica attended local schools and was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church. She had been employed in the payroll department of the Insilco Corp. for many years, until her retirement. Veronica enjoyed her life to the fullest. She enjoyed traveling, spending time outdoors but most of all, she loved spending time with her family and she always cared for her many brothers and sisters.

Vera is survived by her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her 12 brothers and sisters, Frank Kicielinski, Edwin Kicielinski, John Klinski, Jacob Klinski, Michael Klinski, Joseph Klinski, Walter Klinski, Henry Klinski, Helen Martowski, Mary Rajewski, Emily McElroy, and Anna Zaborowski.

Her funeral will be held Thursday, Sept. 3, at 10 a.m. from the Stempien Funeral Home 450 Broad St., Meriden, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Parish Hall. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects Thursday from 9 until 10 a.m.
Donations in memory of Veronica may be sent to the Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, 06405-4909 or to the St. Stanislaus School, 81 Akron St., Meriden, 06450-5797.
