Charles Delbert Litchfield, 76, of Apple Grove, WV, died Monday, April 25, 2005, at home after a long illness. He was born May 8, 1928 in Southside, WV, a son to the late James Robert Litchfield and Kate Putney Litchfield. He was a retired laborer for Mallable Iron in Point Pleasant and attended Hambrick Church in Southside, WV. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, James and Buster Litchfield, one half-sister, Mae Mayes.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ina Flory Litchfield; and sons and daughter-in-law Robert and Shirley Litchfield of Milton, WV, Tucker and Cindy of Apple Grove, WV, and one daughter, Sara Sammarco of Apple Grove, WV. Also survived by grandchildren, Tina, Charlie Litchfield, Mary Clark, Katie Litchfield, Brittany Sammarco, one sister-in-law, Rennee Litchfield of Apple Grove, WV. The funeral services were conducted on Thursday, April 28, 2005, at the Hambrick Church in Southside, with the Rev. Larry Chapman and Joey Birchfield officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Deal Funeral Homewas in charge of arrangements.

A special thanks to Stanley and Faye Denny and David Stover for always being there when we needed you. Also, a heartfelt thanks to Hospice of Point Pleasant, WV, and Dr. Ed Ayers for taking such good care of Delbert and us. May God bless you all.
