Sarah Jennie Abbott is a daughter of Abner Abbott (of Andover, Oxford, Maine - annexed to Maine in 1789, prior to his birth - but originally known as Andover, Essex, Massachusetts.) and Laura Hammond (of Woodstock, Windsor, Vermont.) It is not known how or if Sarah Jennie was related to her husband, Elmer Francis Abbott, but it is believed that little to no blood relationship existed.. In addition to little Mary Jennie, resting next to her in the cemetery, Sarah Jennie and Elmer had four other children not interred here:
Eleanor F Abbott Simpson, 1851 - 1921
Kittie A Abbott Whitcomb, 1854 – 1879
Royal Hamilton Abbott 1859 – 1922
Trueman Leroy Abbott 1865 – ????
