Weslie Lloyd Coon is the son of Jarod Milton Coon and Maretta Jane Cahoon Hamilton.

Weslie Coon

Weslie Coon, 76, Backus, died Saturday, Aug. 30, 1997, at his home.
He was born July 27, 1921, in Avant, Okla., to Milton and Maretta (Hamilton) Coon. He was a member of Church of the Nazarene of Backus.
Survivors include his wife, Lorraine; two sons, George, of Hackensack, and James, of Salem, Ore.; two stepsons, Randy Anderson, Hutchinson, and Greg Anderson, Hackensack; a step-daughter, Rebecca Bane, Zimmerman; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
His first wife, Myrtle, a brother, Leslie, and a sister, Bessie Elyea, died earlier.
Services were Wednesday, Sept. 3 at Church of the Nazarene of Backus with the Rev. Terrill Haddix officiating, and burial in Evergreen Cemetery of Backus.
Northland Funeral Home of Pine River handled arrangements.
