Bessie Elyea, 70, Backus, Minn., died Friday morning (Jan. 10, 1986) at Park Rapids, Minn.
She was born Dec. 22, 1915 in Backus.
Surviving are her husband, Cecil; a son, William, San Diego, Calif.; two daughters, Betty Jones, Backus, and Jane Smith, Paddock Lake; a brother, Wesley Coon, Backus, and 10 grandchildren.
The Northland Funeral Home, Pine River, Minn., is in charge of arrangements.

She was born, Dec. 22, 1915.
Mrs. Elyea is survived by her husband, Cecil; one son, William, San Diego, Calif.; two daughters, Betty Jones, Backus, and Jane Smith, Paddock Lake; a brother, Wesley Coon, Backus, and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Church of the Nazarene, Backus with the Rev. Terrill Haddix officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Backus.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. Sunday at the Northland Funeral Home, Pine River, and at the church one hour before the service.
